Founded in 2019, Arluca Construction was born from Matt’s vision to deliver an unparalleled service in the industry. The company's name reflects his deep dedication to family, inspired by his two sons, Arlo and Luca.
Matt Geappen is the Director of Arluca Construction and a licensed Builder and Carpenter with over 16 years of experience in the construction industry on the Gold Coast. At Arluca Construction, quality and efficiency are paramount, ensuring that every project is delivered to the highest standard and completed on time.
Matt takes a hands-on approach, actively overseeing all aspects of each project—from the initial budgeting phase to construction and post-project care. His commitment to excellence and client satisfaction has established a proven track record of consistently exceeding expectations. He prioritises open and transparent communication, ensuring that clients' needs remain at the forefront of every project.
Matthew Geappen - Director
Originally from Tasmania, Matt started his carpentry apprenticeship back in 2008 learning the true craftsmanship from his mentor. After relocating his family to the sunny Gold Coast in 2013, he transitioned into the commercial construction, whereby he was the head carpenter supervising teams to deliver high end carpentry work all over South East Queensland.
James Karch – General Manager
James is a local through and through, joining Arluca in 2023 and stepping into a full-time role in early 2025. He holds a degree in Urban Development with a major in Construction Management from QUT, graduating in 2009.
With over 17 years in commercial construction, James brings deep industry experience. He’s worked with two of Queensland’s top private construction firms and a listed aged care developer. His strengths include a sharp eye for detail, strong design and construction insight, negotiation skills, and a broad professional network.
James has successfully delivered a wide range of projects—from high-end homes and residential estates to schools, aged care facilities, and residential towers. His passion lies in transforming ideas into built reality, making him a trusted and committed part of the Arluca team.
